Making money off of the Internet and off of being famous is a very easy thing to do in this day and age. What people don’t see is how the money that people make while posting their opinions Affect what they say. The money distribution behind the scenes of media output is a big factor in what we see today on social media.
Social media is addictive on purpose. Based off the biases that a song person has shown in the past social media will purposely lure the user into staying on social media by enticing them with articles that they believe are closer to their beliefs. The reasoning for doing this is primarily financially and has a great threat of causing a large bias that could be false .
Although the media displays a safe and comfort place for people to get information on certain subjects. There’s also a lot of disinformation, and propaganda that the uneducated and naked eye of a teenager will not recognize. This poses a great threat to the legitimacy of the media and displays the darker side of media bias.
Digital dramas at all time high in our society and learning how to deal with it and not subside to the Darkside of the media is a very hard task to learn especially for the adolescent mind. The media Lewers in people and turns children with highly addictive mindsets to be hooked on to media but going down a rabbit hole of the darker side of the media could be detrimental to the mindset of a child and even an adult.
